Summit Wealth Strategies believes that financial planning is the foundation for providing independent and objective advice.

At Summit Wealth Strategies, we believe in doing what is in the best interest of our clients by holding our firm to a fiduciary standard. We have partnered with Impact Partnership Wealth, a registered investment advisor firm. Summit Wealth Strategies and the Impact Partnership Wealth are not affiliated firms. The Summit Wealth Strategies team is focused on bringing our business and individual clients, tax and investment strategies that have notable impacts.

We are a boutique financial firm that has no ties to any proprietary life insurance or investment company product offerings. Being independent allows us to provide complete objectivity and transparency for our individual and business clients. We pride ourselves on making real and meaningful changes in people’s lives and we look forward to making a difference in your life.

Shawn has 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. His work ethic and dedication have earned him several senior leadership positions with some of the largest financial companies in America, including a position as General Agent and Securities Principle in Colorado. In January 2014, he founded Summit Wealth Strategies as an Independent financial firm, where he is a Chief Wealth Advisor and the Managing Director. Shawn takes pride in his fiduciary commitment to his clients. He is intently genuine in listening to his clients, providing independent wealth management and tax strategies, and supporting them in realizing their financial goals.

When Shawn is not working, he enjoys giving back to his community and spending quality time with his wife, Dana, his grown boys, Matthew and Spencer, and his dogs, Zelda and Charlie. Shawn’s strong faith has instilled tolerance and acceptance of others and influenced him to be intentional in his daily actions. He is an active member of his church, including holding the position of Treasurer on the Church Council. He volunteers regularly at the Covenant Cupboard Food Pantry as well as actively supporting other charities. As a born entrepreneur, Shawn learned the principles of integrity, dependability, and professionalism that continue to define his work and dedication to his clients.

Dan Blair

Dan Blair has over 21 years of experience as a financial advisor. He is an independent investment advisor with Summit Wealth Strategies. Dan helps affluent individuals and business owners secure and protect their wealth. Dan has always had a strong faith in God. He believes that God instructs all of us to be good stewards of our money and he has committed himself to achieve the success that God has planned for their financial lives. Dan is passionate about giving back and helping others. He earned his Eagle Scout at the age of 15, the youngest to earn this honor in the state of Connecticut, and started an educational youth fishing clinic that became a state sponsored pilot program.

When Dan is not working, he spends his time with his wife Melissa, daughter Mia, and dogs, George & Rubie. You also might see him fly fishing in a trout stream or with an apron on, cooking for friends and family. Dan is an active member of his church and volunteers at local food banks. Dan also enjoys the outdoors, including camping, backpacking, and boating with his friends and family.

Jack Vogel earned his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2019 and is an independent investment advisor with Summit Wealth Strategies. He received a bachelor’s of science degree in finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia and has been in the business since 2018. Jack is dedicated to helping his clients with all of their financial needs by putting them in a better financial position and providing them with personalized service. His genuine and outgoing personality is contagious and makes his clients feel supported and valued.

Family and friends are a significant part of Jack’s life. He followed his older sister and moved to Colorado in 2022 from his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. He loves having family in Colorado and enjoys when his parents visit. He hopes to convince his parents to invest in a retirement home in Colorado. He first became enchanted with Colorado when he visited in the summer as part of his journey to earn his Eagle Scout rank. He has fond memories of beautiful hikes and great times with friends.

When Jack is not working, he enjoys spending time with his Australian cattle dog, Cleo. He spent many years playing the drums and continues to be passionate about music. Reading self-improvement and fantasy books is another pastime for Jack. He admires and takes after his grandfather, who is an avid reader and is always learning and improving himself.

Melissa Blair

Melissa is a Colorado native who has spent the last 10 years in the Denver metropolitan area. She spent most of her career in the human resources profession, where she excelled and developed her leadership and organizational skills. She joined Summit Wealth Strategies, 5 years ago, as Director of Operations and Human Resources. Melissa’s extensive human resources background has been essential in her ability to successfully manage customer relations and ensure quality productivity as well as enhancing operational procedures. Melissa’s work ethic and commitment to her work are unmatched and are an asset to the clients and Summit Wealth Strategies.

When Melissa is not working, she enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle. She loves being outdoors exploring the Colorado mountains and the Denver area with her husband, Dan, and of course her two Swiss Mountain dogs, George and Rubie. Melissa’s kindness and compassion for others is reflected in her work and in her ability to develop meaningful relationships.

Dana has lived in Colorado for 21 years. She loves the Colorado sunshine and lifestyle. She retired in June 2021, after working 20 years as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Cherry Creek School District. During COVID, Dana advanced her technology skills and visual techniques to provide services and support students with varying disabilities in an online format. Prior to working as a speech-language pathologist, Dana received a degree in textile design and worked as a buyer in New York City. While she misses working with children, she is enjoying using her technology skills and creative design skills to market and support the Summit Wealth Strategies Team. Dana’s artistic eye for detail and perfectionism have been an asset to develop marketing tools, brand awareness and innovative marketing materials for Summit Wealth Strategies.

When Dana is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Shawn, and her two dogs, Zelda and Charlie. While she loves being outdoors hiking in the Colorado sunshine, she also enjoys being at home and honing in on her creative energy and exploring new mediums. She is currently spending her free time water coloring, but also uses her creativity to explore her love of textiles through knitting, crocheting, felting, sewing, and making jewelry.

Corie grew up in Colorado and attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in English/creative writing. After graduation, she started her career in customer service and account management. Her passion for building relationships has kept her in that field for eight years. Corie is very detail oriented and is excited to use her experience to support clients and broaden her knowledge of the financial industry with Summit Wealth Strategies.

Corie met her husband, Billy, in high school, and last year they had a healthy, beautiful baby girl, Rilynn. Corie loves being a mom and spending time with her dog Roxie. When Corie is not working, she enjoys rooting for the Alabama Crimson Tide and Denver Broncos. She loves spending time outdoors with her family and friends, camping, fishing, and hiking. In her quiet time, she loves writing stories about her personal experiences. Corie is grounded by her strong faith and her ability to develop meaningful relationships in both her personal and professional life.

McKenna Bolger

McKenna moved to Colorado from her hometown in South Dakota to attend Colorado State University. She has been a Colorado resident for seven years. She graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in natural resources and environmental economics and a minor in Spanish. After earning her degree, McKenna pursued a career in customer service, where she developed managerial and communication skills and excelled at building relationships. In her new position as Executive Assistant with Summit Wealth Strategies, she has already shown initiative. Her ability to incorporate her communication skills, creativity, and business sense is an asset to the Summit Wealth Strategies team.

When McKenna is not working, you will find her enjoying the outdoors with her friends and family. She tries to soak up the Colorado sun as often as she can, which includes skiing the slopes, backpacking in the mountains, wake surfing on the lake, and gardening in her backyard. McKenna is an avid traveler, so when she’s not exploring the Colorado terrain, she hopes to be exploring other breathtaking destinations and learning from other cultures.
